Slush & Nordea’s Renewed Partnership for Slush 2022
Nordea will be a main partner for Slush 2022 for the sixth year in a row. This year Slush is joined by 2,200 investors and 4,200 founders and Nordea will, as usual, be driving several matchmaking events.
“The importance of entrepreneurship and its role in society in terms of creating growth and innovations is remarkable. Growth creates employment and tax revenues in our societies and it also enhances the global competitiveness of the Nordics countries. With our expertise and engagement, Nordea is able to support entrepreneurs in many ways and help them to grow their businesses,” says Nina Arkilahti, Head of Business Banking at Nordea.
One-to-one meetings with founders and investors
One of the main activities is to help founders gain sustainable growth by matching Nordic growth companies and global investors at Nordea ́s highly valued Investor Speed Dating events. The Speed Dating events run throughout the year and last year resulted in close to 800 session between Nordic founders and global investors. Nordea comes with a strong network and passion to investigate how a more sustainable and diverse future can look like. Our dedicated teams across the Nordics work in close collaboration with the startup ecosystem.
“We are ecstatic to have Nordea collaborate with us in yet another year of supporting the ecosystem around founders. Nordea serves as a key link between growth companies and access to both funding and mentoring, vital elements for any company to scale their business. This is why we are more than happy to welcome Nordea again to the Slush floor in Helsinki this November,” says Eerika Savolainen, Slush CEO.
“Slush continues to be our partner for a reason. We have a shared mission – to help companies bring forward innovations that can make this planet just that little bit better. Together with Slush we are connecting Nordic founders to global investors enabling them to build scalable platforms for future growth. Our four Startup & Growth units across the Nordics come together to support with expertise and advice,” explains Nina Arkilahti.
“After two years of covid challenges we are facing the war in Ukraine affecting international security, people ́s lives and the economy. In times like this, the support that Nordea can offer via growth loan solutions without stake in ownership and by helping founders to find global investor via our network, is more important than ever. We see the partnership with Slush as a way to help the Nordic ecosystem survive through the turbulent times,” says Vesa Riihimäki, Head of Nordea Startup & Growth in Finland.
