It’s almost showtime! And by showtime, we mean the First Round of Slush 100 Pitching Competition. The competition turns the spotlight on the ones that are in the very center of Slush – the early-stage startups. Each of the 100 companies participating in the competition receives invaluable feedback, invitations to exclusive events and, of course, stage time. The winner is awarded with attention from investors, media, potential partners and future team members – not to forget the prize, which consists of services provided by some of the top companies in their fields. For the first time, Slush 100 is also joining forces with Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC), a global startup competition and non-profit organization that partners with Tech for Good leaders to support innovators addressing global challenges, helping them scale their world-changing startups by connecting them with investors, corporations and mentors. XTC will select one Slush 100 startup to invite to the XTC global finals in Paris in 2020.

This year, we’re bringing pitching to the people by organizing the First Round as a public event in the Kamppi Shopping Center, in the city center of Helsinki on Nov 20, 9 am – 8 pm. This gives startups a chance to gain exposure to a larger crowd than ever before – and you can consider yourself cordially invited to witness it. Free of charge.
