In 2005, Meg joined Promontory Financial Group, a regulatory and compliance advisory company. She worked in their Tokyo, NYC, and San Francisco offices. During her time there, she worked closely with her now co-founder, Greg Kidd. In 2010, Greg and Meg started investing in early stage companies. The fund, Hard Yaka, has made over 100 investments, many of which are FinTech companies. In 2014, Meg and Greg incorporated Apto (FKA: Shift) and participated in Y Combinator. Apto’s mission is deliver global issuance capabilities. Apto launched in the fall of 2015 in the US and launched in Europe earlier this year.
