Louise Herping Ellegaard

Louise Herping Ellegaard has taken the journey from startup to exit – without taking in investors. Today, she spends her time as a business angel. Her portfolio consists primarily of app-based startups, e.g., Tiimo and MyMonii.

Louise had no plans to enter the tech industry when she enrolled in History at the University of Southern Denmark at the turn of the millennium – but a few years later, she co-founded one of the first EdTech startups in Denmark, Clio Online. Clio digitized an entire generation with its digital learning resources and out-competed old players in the industry. Clio was a high-growth company with around two hundred employees in Denmark, Sweden, and Ukraine and a turnover of approximately 15 Mio EUR when the founders sold Clio to Bonnier AB in 2018.
