Daoping is a partner of the firm and leads the firm’s efforts in marketplace opportunities. His core portfolio includes 6renyou, Klook, EZbuy (part of NYSE: LITB), Baturu, Black Fish, Kr Space, DFS168 and YMT etc.
Before joining the firm in 2012, Daoping was co-founder of a cross-border e-commerce startup. Before that, Daoping was a Senior Associate with WI Harper Group contributing to Getui and Innovation Works. He started his investment career at SVB Capital China Fund in 2008 but was trained as an Electrical Engineer and early employee of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (a.k.a SMIC, 00981.HK)
Daoping graduated with a B.S. in Bio-Physics from Nanjing University and MBA from Cheung Kong Graduate Scholl of Business.
