Chad Fowler

General Manager for Startups at Microsoft

Chad Fowler is General Manager for Startups at Microsoft. He joined the company in 2015 via the acquisition of Wunderlist, for which he served as CTO. Previously he led development and technology for a number of startups and held leadership positions at some of the world’s largest companies. He has been a long-time Open Source contributor and was an early pioneer in the Ruby and Rails communities, authoring multiple popular books, co-founding and running the official Ruby and Rails conferences, and co-creating RubyGems, the official package manager for the Ruby programming language. Chad is also a frequent conference keynote speaker around the world and a jazz performer and recording artist.
