Brook Porter

Co-founder and General Partner, G2 Venture Partners

Brook Porter is Co-founder and General Partner at G2 Venture Partners. As a founding partner of G2 Venture Partners, he brings a passion for helping entrepreneurs achieve ambitious visions for scale and impact. Brook sits on the boards of Turo, Proterra (PTRA), and Scoop. He also led G2 investments in Shift, Sheertex, Pivot Bio, and Trove. With over 20 years of experience at the intersection of technology and sustainability, Brook has accumulated deep expertise as an entrepreneur turned investor across the industrial segments of energy, transportation and agriculture.

Before G2, Brook was a partner at Kleiner Perkins, where he led investments within their $1B Green Growth Fund. Brook invested in Turo, Farmers Edge (shares acquired), Uber, and DJI. Prior to Kleiner Perkins, Brook co-founded two sustainable transportation companies: Intelligent Energy, a fuel cell technology company, and Primafuel, a low-carbon fuels company.

Brook holds a BSc in chemical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, with an emphasis in environmental technology.
