Sonali De Rycker
Sonali De Rycker joined Accel in 2008 and invests in consumer internet, software and fintech businesses.
Sonali led Accel’s investments in Avito (acquired by Naspers), Lyst, Spotify (NYSE: SPOT), Wallapop, Calastone, Monzo, Shift Technology, Letgo (acquired by Naspers), Kry/Livi, Soldo, Hopin, and Sennder. Prior to Accel, Sonali was with Atlas Venture (now Accomplice). She also previously served on the board of Match.com (NASDAQ:MTCH).
Sonali is from Mumbai and graduated from Bryn Mawr College and Harvard Business School.
Ilkka Paananen is the CEO and co-founder of Supercell, the Helsinki-based mobile games developer behind Clash of Clans, Hay Day, Boom Beach and Clash Royale. Since its founding in 2010, Supercell’s games have remained in the global top 10 years after launch. In June 2016, Supercell became the first European technology start-up to reach a valuation of $10 billion.
In addition to his role at Supercell, Ilkka helps other entrepreneurs as both an investor and as an active member of the Helsinki-based startup community where he mentors and coaches other founders. Alongside his co-founder Mikko Kodisoja, he has established the We Foundation to fight social inequality and help disadvantaged children in Finland.
Miki Kuusi is the co-founder & CEO of the Helsinki-based company Wolt. Founded in 2014, Wolt is Europe’s second fastest growing company, known for its food delivery platform. Wolt operates in 23 countries and 100+ cities while the company has raised €267M in funding from investors such as ICONIQ Capital, Highland Europe, 83North, EQT Ventures and Goldman Sachs Growth Equity. Previously, Miki ran Slush as co-founder & CEO, where he oversaw the event’s growth from a local, 300-person gathering in Helsinki to one of the leading tech and investor events in the world attended by more than 25,000 people annually, expanding across Europe and Asia. Wired listed Miki as #32 on their top technology influencers in Europe for 2015, while Forbes featured Miki on their 30 under 30 list for 2016.
Luciana Lixandru is a Partner at Sequoia, where she focuses on enterprise and consumer technology companies across Europe. She is passionate about helping founders at all stages unlock their potential and think on a global scale. Prior to becoming Sequoia’s first partner in Europe, Luciana worked at Accel for eight years, where she led investments in UiPath, Deliveroo, Framer, Miro and Tessian. Luciana has also held positions at Summit Partners and Morgan Stanley. She has a B.S. in Economics and Mathematics from Georgetown and resides in London.
Matt Miller is a partner at Sequoia focused on early and growth-stage investments in technology companies. A self-proclaimed nerd from an early age, Matt started building computers and writing code at 12 years old in his mother’s kitchen. He has worked as an entrepreneur, an advisor, and now an investor. At Sequoia, Matt has worked closely with companies like Carbon Black, Confluent, Docker, Graphcore, Hirevue, n8n.io, Okta, Simplisafe, SkyHigh Networks, Tecton, and Tessian. Prior to Sequoia, Matt worked at Goldman Sachs and graduated from Brigham Young University. In his spare time, Matt is wrangling two young kids with his wife and looking for people with whom he can practice his Swedish.
Mathilde Collin is the co-founder and CEO of Front, which gives teams the power to meaningfully connect with customers and transform their work into impact. Front serves more than 6,000 businesses and has raised $138 million in venture funding from Sequoia Capital, Threshold Ventures (fka DFJ), and Uncork Capital, as well as executives from Atlassian, Okta, Qualtrics, and Zoom. Mathilde mentors aspiring entrepreneurs through All Raise’s Female Founders Office Hours and the Pioneer Fund. Brad Bao is the Co-Founder and Chairman at Lime. He recently served as the Managing Director of Kinzon Capital (Fosun Group), a cross-border fund that invests in early stage technology companies in both the US and China, focusing on mobile and internet related investments.
Prior to founding LIme, Brad served as the General Manager of Tencent America, and VP of BD of Tencent Games for over 8 years. During that time Brad built the Tencent US branch from scratch, and was responsible for the overall P&L including investments, strategy, globalization, BD, and operations. He led and participated in investments including Hi-Rez, Fireforge, Zam, and served as board member of several.
Caroline Chayot is a Partner at Atomico where she helps companies hire, develop, and retain the best talent in Europe. Previously she led the EMEA HR team at Twitter, where she supported the leadership team in scaling the business from two to six markets and grew the team from 80 based in London to 500 across the region. Prior to that, she worked at Google in HR for 9 years.
Fredrik is one Europe’s most experienced investors and one of the most trusted advisors to the Creandum portfolio companies. Fredrik is an early backer of several companies that have grown to dominate their respective markets, among others Spotify, KRY / LIVI, depop and Kahoot!.

Dan Hynes is a Partner and Head of Talent at Atomico. He brings his extensive global experience in technology talent and staffing to help portfolio companies find, grow and keep the best employees in their respective fields. Dan is on the board of Ontruck, Bossa Studios, OhBibi and Peakon. Prior to joining Atomico, Dan was responsible for talent and staffing at some of the world’s best-known technology companies including Google, Cisco and Skype.
Ross McNairn is the CPO at TravelPerk, a corporate travel management platform based in Barcelona. He is a qualified lawyer, self-taught engineer, and sold his first startup to Skyscanner, where he ran their business-travel products until they exited to CTrip in 2017 for $1.7BN.
On route to TravelPerk he led Letgo’s production engineering organisation to a unicorn valuation through a $500M raise and when away from a keyboard you will find him on his mountain bike either in the hills of Catalonia or back in Scotland.
Daniel Ek is the Chairman and CEO of Spotify, where he sets the company’s overall vision. Daniel oversees Spotify’s business and product strategies and is responsible for building a progressive, forward looking global organization. Daniel was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden where he founded Spotify in 2006.
Pärson has been a general partner at Northzone since 2004. At Northzone, his primary areas of focus are disruptive businesses in consumer internet, health and fintech. His portfolio includes multi-billion dollar exits in market-defining companies such as Spotify, iZettle and Avito, as well as Pricerunner, Jasper, Videoplaza, and current companies like fuboTV, Spring Health, Play Dots and others. Before joining Northzone, Pärson ran his own investment firm and was a consultant at McKinsey. He holds an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics.
Jan focuses primarily on financial information and data services startups, investing across all stages from seed to venture to growth. He led Index investments in Adyen, Alan, Collibra, Robinhood, SafetyCulture and TransferWise.

Sasha Astafyeva is a Partner at Atomico based in London where she leads on new investment opportunities in the consumer space. Prior to joining Atomico, Sasha spent three years as a Principal at Felix Capital in London. Before that she spent extensive time as an operator in startups in the UK and Brazil, including Lyst, a London-based online fashion marketplace, VivaReal, an online real estate marketplace in Brazil, and Dafiti, Latin America’s largest online fashion retailer. She is passionate about partnering with entrepreneurs who are building distinctive mission-driven consumer propositions with a strong brand identity and emotional connection with customers, and who are creating customer value through use of data and advanced technologies.
Kelly has 10+ years of experience working with external counsel and internal legal teams. In previous roles at Axiom and Knowable, she’s worked alongside clients to implement parts of the ACC Maturity model and has a unique view of the challenges that legal teams and law firms face when it comes to implementing new technology for legal operations.
Kelly is currently the Chief Strategy Officer at Onna, the world’s first Knowledge Integration Platform. Seth Pierrepont joined Accel in 2013 and focuses on enterprise software, cybersecurity, and fintech.
Seth helped lead Accel’s investments and ongoing work in Kry, PillPack (acquired by Amazon), WorldRemit, Soldo, Anyfin, Privitar, Snyk, Shift Technology, CallSign, Chainalysis, Carwow, and FRVR.

Casey Winters is a full time advisor and consultant to top tech companies like Eventbrite, Thumbtack, and Reddit. Casey recently was the growth advisor in residence at Greylock Partners, where he helped startups on their growth strategies and scaling challenges. Prior to Greylock, Casey led growth at Pinterest, helping kickstart international growth. Pinterest recently crossed over 200 million monthly active users. Yes, those annoying signup prompts are his fault.
Prior to Pinterest, Casey was the first marketer at Grubhub, helping the company grow from 30,000 users to over 3 million by leading acquisition and retention marketing. Casey is responsible for some of Grubhub’s worst performing ads, but definitely not its best. Grubhub went public in April 2014 and is now valued at $10 billion. Prior to Grubhub, Casey worked in online marketing at Homefinder and Apartments.com. Sanna Westman is an Investment Manager at Creandum. She is hunting down Europe’s most interesting startup companies and the entrepreneurs that run them.
Sanna brings deep experience in e-commerce, payments and M&A. Starting her career at McKinsey, Sanna spent the first years focusing on the Public Sector before heading into working hands-on with growth strategy, and M&A for consumer and retail companies in Scandinavia and China. Fatih Mustafa Celebi
Fatih was born in 1991 in Ankara, Turkey. He studied economics at Koc University, Istanbul. He loves long-distance running, skiing, kitesurfing, and enjoys jazz music while reading books on history.
Jordi Romero is an entrepreneur and computer engineer from Barcelona. He’s the founder and CEO of Factorial, an HR Software startup with thousands of customers around the world, over a hundred employees and some of the world’s best investors. He’s also a partner at itnig, an early stage investment fund. Previously he was CTO and VP Business Development at Redbooth, a project management start-up that started in Barcelona and moved to San Francisco.
Alexander (Sasha) Vidiborskiy is a Principal at Atomico. He is a quantum physicist by background and specialises in enterprise software including developer tools, cloud infrastructure, and AI/ML applications among others.Before joining Atomico, Sasha was a Senior Associate at Runa Capital. During the Spring of 2021, we run a series of monthly community events designed to connecting founders with investors and mentors.
Currently we are focusing on building and serving our existing members, and thus we’re not accepting new members to Node for the time being. We are building an improved version of Node by Slush platform for startups to be launched in Q2, and an early stage startup discovery tool for investors, launched in Q3. Who is the community for?
Node by Slush is created for startups and investors and the membership requires an application. Companies and individuals that fit the following definitions can apply for membership.
Startup membership is for the founders and operators of young, often tech-driven, companies aiming for rapid growth with a scalable business model.
Investor membership is for investors who make direct investments in startups or venture capital funds – VCs, CVCs, Angels, LPs, and M&A Investors.
We accept applications by hand and assess them case-by-case to ensure that the members of the community are relevant to each other. Once your application has been accepted, you can activate the membership. Please remember that memberships are personal and each person from your company needs their own membership to be able to access the community.

We actively recommend sessions and workshops for all the startup members based on their needs, so that they don’t have to worry about missing out on any of the opportunities to make new connections.
