Serving as the grand scene for the Slush Opening Ceremony, Silver Stage is dedicated to Leadership Talks, Keynotes, and Fireside Chats on both days of the event. In addition, the winner of the Slush 100 Pitching Competition will be announced on Silver Stage on the second day of the event, ending the official program at the venue.
During the first day of Slush, Silver Stage will host an exclusive set of heads of state to discuss entrepreneurship and economic growth, including Alexander Stubb, Prime Minister of Finland, Taavi Roivas, Prime Minister of Estonia, and Axelle Lemaire, French Minister of State for Digital Affairs.
Drawing thousands of people, the stage will serve as the grand arena for Leadership Fireside Chats with world-renowned business leaders and influencers, including CTO Jian Wang of Alibaba Group, Co-Founder and Chairman Martin Lorentzon of Spotify, CEO and Chairman Hiroshi Mikitani of Rakuten, Principal Conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Founder Peter Arvai of Prezi, Founder Mattias Ljungman of Atomico, Chairman Matti Alahuhta of DevCo, and Chairman Jorma Ollila of Shell.

Black Stage is all about Gaming, Music & Entertainment, Health, and Investor Talks. Starting on Tuesday at 10 o’clock, the Annual Gaming Summit brings together masterminds of the global gaming industry, including CEO Victor Kislyi of Wargaming.net, CEO Hilmar Veigar Pétursson of CCP Games, and CEO Jens Begemann of Wooga, diving deep into the world of virtual realities and endless fascination.
Following the Annual Gaming Summit, Slush Music & Entertainment introduces pioneering entrepreneurs and professionals in the industry of cool, including CGO Bill Bradford of Smule, Manager Ash Pournouri of DJ Avicii, and Partner Fred Davis of Raine Group, focusing on what it takes to succeed in the highly competitive entertainment industry in the digital era.
On Wednesday, Black Stage gets professional with Investor Talks on the art and science of venture capital funding, including Steven Dietz of Upfront Ventures, Lucian Schönefelder of KKR, and John Malloy of Blue Run Ventures. In the afternoon, the stage will be taken over by Slush Health, representing Executive Chairman and Founder Dr. Wei Siang Yu of Borderless Healthcare Group, Founder and CEO Bill Geiser of MetaWatch, and Co-Founder Mike LaVigne of Clue, covering newest trends and technologies in the booming digital health scene.
Green Stage focuses on industries and founders aiming to make a difference in the fields of Enterprise Software, Cleantech, Product Design, Impact, and Edutech. In addition, Green Stage hosts a series of Growth Talks on success stories bubbling under in the startup scene.
On Tuesday, the stage will be first conquered by Slush Enterprise Software, representing CEO Jorn Lyseggen of Meltwater, Head of Products Owen Garret of Nginx, and CEO Antti Vilpponen of UpCloud to discuss the development of business apps and services in the era of Big Data and Internet of Things from an entrepreneurial perspective. Thereafter, Green Stage gets real with Slush Cleantech, addressing strategies for a more sustainable and energy efficient future with Global Grand Challenges Director Nicholas Haan from Singularity University, CEO Henrik Dahl of Eniram, and CEO and Co-Founder Juha Koponen of swap.com.
Focusing more on the initial phases of product and service development, Slush Product Design introduces the likes of CEO Roland Lamb of Roli, Partner Paul Murphy of Betaworks, and CEO and Co-Founder Caroline Walerud of Volumental, cutting to the core of futuristic and technology-driven design thinking. Moreover, the track will present the creatives behind Aether, Hem, and Tink.
On Wednesday, the program on Green Stage starts off with Slush Impact, starring Co-Founder Walter Bender of One Laptop Per Child, Former ED Sue Gardner of Wikimedia Foundation, and Founder Chase Adam of Watsi, covering social innovations, global markets, and sustainability from a technology point of view.
In the afternoon, Slush Edutech will take the stage with Co-Founder and CPO Brad Hargreaves of General Assembly, Partner Michael Staton of Learn Capital, and Director of Learning Abel Caine of UNESCO to discuss future opportunities in combining education with disruptive technologies, along with the people behind the likes of Dragon Box, Skillpixels, and Ubongo.
Growth Talks ends the program on Green Stage, starring CEO Jo Bertram of Uber UK & Nordics to reveal the secret behind one of the fastest growing private transportation startups. Moreover, the talks will entail captivating stories focusing on early-stage startups.
On Tuesday, Yellow Stage gets loud with the Slush 100 Pitching Competition, hosting a grand total of one hundred startups pitching their way into Wednesday’s Finals. On Wednesday, the stage transforms into an intimate platform hosting a set of in-depth Startup Fireside Chats, ranging from two-sided marketplaces and Nordic startup ecosystems to disruptive venture capital and bitcoin investment trends.
During the Accelerator Hour, Yellow Stage will be crowded with representatives from 500Startups, Seedcamp, Techstars, Wayra, Entrepreneur First, Numa, and Haxlr8r to discuss exponential growth and distribution strategies.
Special highlights on Yellow Stage include an interview with Co-Founder Sami Inkinen of Trulia on successfully coping with the pressures and failures of startup life (“Well-Being and Startup Life – Can You Have Both?”) and a thought-provoking chat on relocating from Silicon Valley to the Nordics.
