This year’s Slush is going to be bigger than ever. This means that startups of the region have a great chance to get even more connections that they need to thrive on the global stage. However, along with opportunities come challenges – it is not an easy task to get your company’s unique voice heard amidst the buzz at big events.
BuzzTale, the startup from Latvia, is coming to Slush with a fascinating solution to the problem – they promise to enable brands and media to leverage the buzz around live events using only smartphone. To do so, they have built an app that allows an individual or a team to easily create curated stories in the form of text, photos, videos and tweets in real-time. What’s more, these instant curated stories can then be embedded into a company’s website or blog.
Andris K. Berzins, CEO at BuzzTale comments: “We offer a unique visual storytelling tool that enables a publisher, be it a business or media, to create a story that is visually appealing and highly sharable. These stories are not simply a collection of tweets – they reflect the specific story line and deliver brand messages that the company wants to convey.”
How did you come up with this idea?
“Currently there are no good tools for content marketing that fit the format of big events and can be easily created in real-time. Businesses are stuck with either live streaming or blogging: only few viewers have the patience to watch live video for long while blog posts often end up being a post-event summary because it’s difficult to blog in real-time.”
BuzzTale sees their app as an effective real-time content marketing tool that can help companies drive traffic, engage their consumers, generate sales leads, and build brand awareness – all at live events.
What is your team like?
“Our core team has the perfect startup combination of a hustler, a hacker and an agent provocateur. We hail from the beautiful city of Riga, Latvia. And we are hoping to capture the attention of thousands of Slush attendees in Helsinki with a new service that rocks!”
