Slush Singapore is on for the third time, bridging dialogues between startup communities across major Southeast Asian hubs and the world. In 2017, Slush Singapore welcomed 3,000 entrepreneurs, investors and journalists from over 70 countries. While attendees are international, Slush Singapore is always first and foremost organised within the local community. The philosophy behind Slush, both in North and Southeast, has remained the same: to help the next generation of globally-minded entrepreneurs forward.
So, what’s next? What we’re concentrating on this year?
We acknowledge that not all startups are looking for investors: some are in search of media coverage or partnerships with MNCs. We’d like to offer more opportunities for founders to engage with the right crowd through kick-ass side events and other activities.
This year, we’ll also challenge investors, serial entrepreneurs and media to share their knowledge, tips and other best-kept secrets with founders in one-on-one sessions, roundtables, and a variety of workshops.
This year we go around Southeast Asia and visit major cities around us – Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur to mention few – and bring them all to Singapore in September. We really want to offer international attendees the true picture of what Southeast Asia is about.
We’re ensuring that sustainability, one of our core values, is deeply grounded in everything we do. While we are putting a lot of effort in recycling and minimizing the waste in the event, this year you’ll also see more entrepreneurs from the areas such as agriculture and foodtech. Got any questions about our plans of action? Nature-loving tips to share? Drop us a message!
