Sweet. Product is pretty essential. And how does this work?
The idea behind Showcase Studio is to give selected startups who are a bit further with their product a chance to demo their product live on stage, in a more intimate space with relevant people present. By giving startups more time to pitch, while they get to specifically focus on telling the tale of their product, we’re hoping to provide them with an opportunity to cut the bullshit and get to the important stuff straight away. This way, the product story will have more meat on its bones and target the most relevant investors, customers and partners more efficiently.
Startups taking part in Showcase Studio will get a six-minute slot to showcase their product. They get to describe the fundamental problems the founders started off wanting to solve, primarily focusing on the journey behind the development. They’ll be able to demonstrate the design, features and functionalities of the product and what it was built to solve. This slot is followed by three minutes of audience Q&A session. To ensure that they get to showcase your product to the most relevant people, we have reserved investor seats in the audience.
Everything else can be fine and dandy, but if your product isn’t quite there, you won’t be, either. We believe that working on your product is absolutely essential: everything else comes after. This is the idea behind Showcase Studio. We’re excited to see how startups will utilize this opportunity this year. So get on that stage, share the story of your product in an engaging way, have a Q&A session with interested investors afterwards, and then, who knows…
But first, sit down to work on that product of yours, and once you’re done, apply for a Startup Pass, and while you’re at it, apply for the Showcase Studio slot as well. Let’s get that product into the spotlight!
