In 2017, we introduced verticals on science, education and transportation. This year we’re looking to expand our reach to new frontiers such as gaming, construction tech, and health tech. Here’s a comprehensive list of Slush Official Side Events for this year. All official side events will take place on December 4th & 5th.
Meet the rising stars of the Nordic Virtual and Mixed Reality scene! X Reality Day will gather together top level investors, media and industry experts from Asia, Europe and USA, as well as top media and industry experts. The second batch of teams in the accelerator program Nordic XR Startups will be doing their pitches and then go forward to demo their products.
RecoTech is a side event focused on property and construction technology, and why it’s something we should keep our entrepreneurial minds focused on. The story of RecoTech began in 2016, when a Helsinki based real estate and construction industry experts and enthusiasts met to discuss ways to bring more people from the startup and tech scene into their world.
XcitED is an event focusing on the future of education and learning. XcitED is calling for everyone to join: professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, pioneers on the frontiers of edutech – everyone is welcome to tag along and join the conversation. Last year, there were over 1000 attendees, including several industry leaders, a showcase of 50 edtech startups and 29 speakers from 10 different countries.
Future of transportation. A pretty big topic. Future Transportation brings together industry leaders, tech enthusiasts and everyone else who’s interested in the development of our transportation networks. Jump on the bandwagon!
Y Science brings forth the value of life science-based business: it is a working combination of discourse on life sciences, business, and their shared future. The conversation at Y Science will revolve around scientific discoveries and possibilities for concrete actions around them. Don’t miss the Life Science pitching competition for early phase startups! The competition is open for applications during September.
Finding Fintech is the official Fintech event of Slush, brought to you by Mastercard. Fintech has made a huge impact on the financial industry and incumbent players have chosen collaboration as the clear path forward. You will hear examples from leading banks about how they work with fintech companies, entrepreneurs will share their success stories, and the winner of Mastercard’s Lighthouse Development Program will be announced. This is the one fintech event you don’t want to miss! The event is free, but requires registration.
Press Play is a gaming event focusing on the fascination which lies within the virtual worlds. Co-produced together with Supercell, Hatch, Play Ventures and Slush, the event brings gaming back to the core of what Slush is about.
Press Play explores intriguing themes around gaming from highly-practical topics to the current trends. The event is organized to function as a meeting point for Slush gaming companies, investors and above all, for passionate gamers.
At Moving On Up, startups have the opportunity to come together with the social and welfare public sector and corporations to find new ways to collaborate with one another. Their common goal is to accelerate innovation in the realm of health and wellbeing, in order to move on to the next level of health and welfare provision.
