Slush 2019 will be held at the Exhibition and Convention Center of Helsinki, Messukeskus. The address is Messuaukio 1, 00520 Helsinki. Remember to wear your badge and wristband at all times at the venue.

The venue is located in Pasila, just a few kilometers from the Helsinki city center. Messukeskus is served by excellent transport connections in all directions: the easiest being one stop by train from Helsinki Central Railway station. You can plan your local travel here.

We highly recommend that all guests use public transportation. We’ll give out a limited amount of HSL travel cards for free with which you can use public transportation on Nov 20–22. You can get a travel card at Kamppi, Elisa Kulma, or airport badge claim points.

Plan your trip

TRAINS

All local and long-distance trains stop at the Pasila railway station, just a 300 meter walk from Messukeskus. Trains from the city center to Pasila take just five minutes. Also, all trains coming from the Helsinki airport stop at Pasila. We recommend all guests to take a train. The route to the venue will be clearly marked. When you step out onto the platform, you can walk in either direction and you’ll soon see signs directing you to Slush.

TRAMS

Trams 7 and 9 leave from the city center and stop in front of the southern entrance of Messukeskus.

CARS

There is a parking garage at the expo area. The garage is accessible from Ratapihantie 17. The parking garage is open 24/7 and one entry costs 12 euros (24 hours parking). You can buy parking tickets at the northern entrance. There are also automats inside the parking hall. Please note that the capacity of the garage is very limited.

TAXIS

There is a taxi stop in front of the Southern Entrance of Messukeskus.

CLOAKROOMS

Cloakrooms are located near the entrances and are free of charge. Please note that cloakrooms cannot receive large items. You can leave a cabin size luggage in the cloakroom but unfortunately, there is no storage for big luggage. Cloakrooms are open:

We suggest you take a picture of the cloakroom tag. There is staff at the cloakroom during the opening hours. However, please note that Slush is not responsible for items left in the cloakroom.

Lost and founds can be brought to and enquired from the southern cloakroom near the southern entrance.

ACCESSIBILITY

The venue is fully accessible by wheelchair, with the exception of the Sauna Village. Entry is free for personal assistants of disabled persons, and guide or assistance dogs are welcome.  You can find more information about accessibility in the venue at the Convention Centre’s website.

The visual identity of Slush is unique: the venue is quite dark, and we use mineral haze to create that special slushy feel. Stage programming includes blinking lights and lasers. Persons suffering from epilepsy or otherwise sensitive to light are advised to take this into account when planning their visit.

FOOD AND DRINKS

Hungry? Let us introduce you – The Food Market! Food Market is located near the northern entrance, presenting a wide-ranging culinary selection, delivered by seven different restaurants. These include some of the most interesting food offerings in Helsinki. All the restaurants offer mainly local ingredients, and plenty of vegetarian or vegan options.

Additionally, we have three Fazer restaurants open at the venue. Food Market and Fazer restaurants are open during the event hours and Afterparty. Please note that all food disposables at Slush are biodegradable and belong to the organic waste.

Coffee, tea, and snacks can be purchased from the venue’s cafes.

Water stations can be found around the venue. We serve locally produced and filtered Finnish tap water – it is ranked as one of the best in the world. Tap water is an environmentally friendly choice and Finnish tap water is fresh and 100% drinkable.

Remember to bring your own reusable bottle with you!

WORK AND RELAX

SEE THE LOCATIONS

CO-WORKING
SPACE

For ad hoc meetings and work, we’ve built the brand new Coworking Space, designed together with the Finnish meeting pod company Framery. With a number of Framery meeting pods, comfortable tables and chairs, and a relaxed atmosphere, this will be an area for you to send that first offer, finish your deck or have a quick call.

SECRET
GARDEN

We know – Slush days can get hectic. Secret Garden is created for recharging your mental batteries. This is the place for the most immersive zen-like tranquility. The garden is surrounded by waterfalls, which makes it a perfect spot for relaxing during the Slush frenzy.

SAUNA
VILLAGE

And what would a Finnish event be without saunas? Escaping the hectic conference space has never been as easy as in the serene outdoor spa – Sauna Village. Take a moment for yourself in one of the six different saunas, take a dip in the ice-cold tub, or just sit by the fireplace. This is the place where business talk and networking are left aside – the sauna experience is all about regenerating yourself.

SUSTAINABILITY
AT SLUSH

MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT

Slush is an EkoKompassi/EcoCompass certified event, and this is just the start. Whether it is reducing our environmental footprint by using only tap water and biodegradable disposables, promoting diversity and equality for social inclusiveness, or with strict recycling practices, we set the bar high for minimizing the harm we do while amplifying the good.
