Besides the main event on Sept 14 save the date for Sept 13 when pre-events take place. Tailored program for pre-events will be released leading up to the event. And what better way to finish off Slush Singapore than honest after-Slush on Sept 15! And if you are a fan of Formula 1, you are in for a treat – Singapore Grand Prix is in town on the same weekend with Slush. But don’t worry, we made sure the schedules will allow you to catch both.
Sustainability has always been important to us. In 2017, we used recycled materials in our production, and collaborated with partners that support sustainable business. This year, we continue sustainability efforts on and off stage, by welcoming speakers from areas like foodtech and agritech, social entrepreneurs and startups with a global mission as well as by building more sustainable partnerships in organizing the main event.
We know, not all startups are looking for investors – some are in search of the right partnerships with MNCs and other players in their field. Recognizing this need, we will create more opportunities for startups and corporates to engage through side events, tailored sessions and other activities.
Certainly, we cannot miss those who have helped us grow to where we are today. Volunteers continue to be at our core. Together with our corporate partners, we are creating a talent program to empower this pool of people within Slush and after Slush. Watch this space!
Don’t worry, we are not going anywhere out of Singapore (yet). Instead, we are going to bring major cities of Southeast Asia to us! Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur will be some of our destination partners. We want all our international attendees to meet the best of Southeast Asia when they come to Slush Singapore – and connect Southeast Asia with the rest of the world. Are you with us?
Founders talked, we listened. And what we heard was this: more tailored interaction is needed. You’ve got it! This year, we will challenge our investors, speakers, serial entrepreneurs and the media to share their time, knowledge and tips with startup founders in one-on-one sessions, roundtables and workshops. We are curious to see what comes up when, instead of passive attendance, we all give just a little bit more.
