Each Slush venue is a celebration of the unique time, place, and theme of the event. This year, Slush sets out to break barriers with their program, production, and presence in Tokyo Big Sight East 7 Hall. It is once again the canvas our team has painted on. Doors open and lasers switch on tomorrow. Welcome to Slush Tokyo 2018.
This year, the center of attention is focused on the Dome surrounding the stage featuring the opening show, keynotes and pitching contest final. Lighting has always been key at the darkened venue. Coupling that with the geometry of the structure enhances the presence of the incredible speakers set to step on it in the coming days.
Keeping a relaxed atmosphere, in balance with the hard-hitting speeches, is the Slush Cafe. Here, keynote speakers will be sitting down for Q&A sessions on both days. The coziness of a cafe is coupled with the open space in a way the audience can take it easy while not limiting visibility to the stage from further away.
Right across the hall, opposite the Cafe, you will find the Crossing. This stage is dedicated to special program, for example, open pitching, the popular Bureiko Lunch, and panel discussions on specific topics. Make sure not to miss these parts of the agenda. It is here where Tokyo’s uniqueness really comes out.
Beyond the main stages, the venue is filled with startup and partner booths, the traditional meeting area, and of course, the pitching stage known as Startup Station. Here the pitching competition will take place, with 80 registered startups competing for prizes that can prove extremely helpful on their road to success.
