In 2017, Slush Music will continue where it left off. This November, 2,500 international music industry professionals, artists, media, and influential speakers will gather in Helsinki for two whole days to envision new frames of music.
Sharing the path with Slush, Slush Music puts the spotlight over the entrepreneurial mindset in the music industry. That’s because we believe entrepreneurs are the ones who will solve problems emerging from the transition the traditional industry faces. That’s where this year’s theme derives from – imagining the next steps for the music industry, and actually pushing things forward.

Music is all around us – it will always be. The impact of music goes beyond entertainment: it touches wellbeing, benefits education and builds communities. The relationship between music and society is a two-way street, and the somewhat unknown dynamics are yet to be understood thoroughly.

Music consumption is at an all-time high. We’ve come far, but the path continues. While the advancing technology nudges the world around music, it also expands the playground of opportunities for the curious – to explore, and to take action.
