Founded in 2015 in Copenhagen, won The Pioneer of The Year 2016 award amongst 3000+ startups, is part of Seedcamp incubator in London and was shortlisted by Business Insider and Money2020 as one of hottest Nordic fintech startups.
- Solid Clouds – One of the leading MMORTS developers in the world
Founded in late 2013, Solid Clouds is an indie game studio now working on its first product, Starborne: Sovereign Space. Starborne will incorporate popular 4X mechanics into the MMORTS style of gameplay offering something wholly new to the established MMORTS market. With veteran developers and artists working on Starborne, it will offer a truly unique gameplay experience accompanied with a triple-A polish.
- RVX – To the top of the VR world
RVX is the co-producer of the highly acclaimed Everest VR. A Virtual Reality studio with its roots in computer games and film visual effects, RVX is currently developing a unique VR portal combining immersive experiences, virtual travel, discovery, music, art, culture, social media and e-commerce. Co-founded by award-winning VFX supervisor Dadi Einarsson and Hollywood director Baltasar Kormakur, the Reykjavik-based company is headed by Ben Bohn, formerly of CCP Games. The studio is set to become a global trailblazer in meaningful, interconnected and visually compelling virtual experiences.
- Unacast – The world’s largest proximity data platform
The Norwegian company is indexing the physical world and their service “Unacast PROX” is the world’s largest platform of beacon and proximity sensor data, with over 40% market share and partners from all over the world. Unacast built The Real World Graph™, offering Data as a Service (DaaS) to radically improve location accuracy in industries ranging from advertising and analytics to bots and AI. Unacast has offices in NYC and Oslo, and has raised $6.6m since their launch at SXSW in March 2015.
- Your.MD – World’s first AI personal health assistant
Your.md has build the world’s first Artificial Intelligence Personal Health Assistant. The company is democratising healthcare by enabling everyone around the world with a mobile phone to access primary healthcare. The Norwegian company has headquarters both in Oslo and in London and has already provided 9.5 million sessions worldwide, becoming the number 1 health app in over 100 countries.
- Natural Cycles – The fertility monitor
Stockholm-based Natural Cycles company provides a beautiful and easy-to-use app which combines established fertility science with advanced mathematics. Variations in body temperature reveal information about ovulation and fertility. NaturalCycles is more than just an effective and easy-to-use contraceptive method – it is a companion throughout the entire fertile lifetime.
- Mapillary – Map the world with photos
A swedish company providing a service for crowdsourcing map photos. Using simple tools like smartphones or action cameras anyone can collect photos that are combined into a collective street level photo view. The vision of Mapillary is to map the world with photos. Mapillary closed a $8M Series A funding round, led by Atomico, Sequoia, LDV Capital, and PlayFair in March 2016.
- Smarp – The perfect employee communication app
Smarp is an employee communications and advocacy app that brings company news and content to the fingertips of employees. Having created the now global marketing trend of employee advocacy in 2013, Smarp has expanded aggressively and currently has 60 employees at its offices in Helsinki, London, New York and Stockholm. In short, Smarp is aiming to be the global leader in connecting company content and employees with each other.
- KNL Networks – Internet anywhere
KNL Networks is building a global, IP based, always-on data network. By enabling Internet Anywhere, a wide range of use-cases for the technology includes live streaming of sensor data, enabling mission-critical online systems, autonomous vessels, IoT connectivity and more. KNL’s patented communication system relies on shortwave radio transmissions, allowing data to be transmitted over thousands of kilometers. KNL networks has raised a €10 million series A round with the lead investor Creandum.
