JinA Bae, Corporate VC Investor at Hanwha
Hailing from South Korea, one of the world’s “most-wired” nations and a country ranking among the top of the list with the greatest mobile broadband penetration, JinA Bae has forged a name for herself in the industry. She began her career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in San Francisco and London. Bae specialized in developing growth & marketing strategy and Big Data analytics for global tech and consumer goods companies, and single-handedly designed a product for a global telco with an estimated $1 billion in revenue.
Bae is also the Co-founder & CEO of CHOPCHOP, an award-winning London-based food tech startup powered by a dynamic task management algorithm. With these experiences under her belt, Bae truly has become a leader within her industry.
Now, Bae is a Corporate Venture Capital (VC) investor at Hanwha, one of the largest conglomerates in Korea and a Global FORTUNE 250 Company with 60 subsidiaries across five main pillars of businesses: Manufacturing, Construction, Finance, Service and Leisure. As a strategic investor, she believes in creating connectivity among the various players in the innovation ecosystem and leveraging the combined pool of strategic funds and resources to maximise post-investment value-add.
Michael Lints, Partner at Golden Gate Ventures
Before becoming a venture partner at Golden Gate Ventures, Michael Lints founded an IT business and his own Dutch SME-focused venture fund in 2007. He also has extensive international network experience as a former Vice-Chairman of the Economic Development Board Rotterdam, nowadays known as Rotterdam Partners.
In 2011 and 2014, Lints went ahead to pursue Financial Analysis for Business Valuation and Private Equity at Harvard Business School in Cambridge. Shortly after joining Golden Gate Ventures in 2013, Lints was promoted to Partner, a position he holds up to this date. He told in an interview with e27 the reason for his promotion was “[m]y ability to help develop meaningful partnerships on behalf of the portfolio. A good example is helping portfolio companies with later stage fundraising, introductions to corporations and family conglomerates.”
With over 17 years of versatile entrepreneurial and managerial experience, Lints keeps challenging himself into new accomplishments also outside the workplace. In June 2017 he was able to complete one of his life goals – finishing the grueling Ironman 70.3 on a volcanic island in Hawaii.

Julian Mialaret is an Operating Partner of Idinvest Partners, a European leader in financing small and medium-sized enterprises and now the largest venture capital firm in continental Europe. He is also a member of the Industrial & Enterprise digital team and conducts investments in Europe, the US and China.
