Slush Small Talks has since the start been about smaller gatherings for startups and tech talent to meet with top-tier international investors, executives and media, who share the passion to further empower the local startup ecosystem. Slush Small Talks in Stockholm is all about bringing the Nordic community together to understand the current state of technology and what is in store in the near future. At the same time, it’s a natural step over the Baltic Sea, to our beloved neighbours.
The theme of the Slush Small Talks in Stockholm is focused on stories about successful projects and collaborations between corporations and startups. To ensure more of those success stories, we bring companies from different industries under the same roof. To be exact, under the basement of a brewery in an abandoned bomb shelter at Söder Mälarstrand, Slush Small Talks will take place in the venue Skyddsrummet.
But why such a theme? Today, corporations often struggle to innovate due to many barriers that are entrenched within the company’s operations and structures. The collaboration between corporations, startups and scaling businesses has never been more crucial than it is today. New emerging technologies and growth companies could be the key to sustained corporate success and today, even more, and more corporations are choosing to collaborate with startups because the corporate nature makes internal innovation difficult and no company has all the competencies it needs. And yes, it’s a win-win – corporates seem to be the next boost for the startup ecosystem.
As mentioned, Slush Small Talks in Stockholm will focus on corporations and startup collaboration. Together with the local community and the partners of our event; Prince Daniel’s Fellowship, Combient, EQT Ventures, Northzone and PwC we want to showcase solutions and best cases of collaborations and break down possible barriers.
Speaker’s taking the stage will be executives and startup founders, showcasing the best practices about collaboration.
The event will culminate in a joint networking event and party til the midnight hours in the heart of Stockholm.
See you in Stockholm!

[…]

Real estate agents, beware: there’s a new kid on the block. Blok, the virtual real estate agent automating apartment sales, was founded by Rudi Skogman – one of the early Slushers – shortly after he sold his own Helsinki apartment. The apartment sold quickly, being the awesome, well-located pad it was. Still, there was one […]
Who’s in charge here? That question has been asked all over Slush Music this year. Who’s in charge of rights? Who’s in charge of data? Who’s in charge of the industry? While these conversations are going on, it’s been reiterated constantly that the Nordics are known for community and to dismantle the traditional hierarchical structure. […]
