The first Slush Small Talk in Stockholm will take place on October 23. Originated from London, the event aims to further deepen the local collaboration among growth companies, and especially link them with corporations from the area – this time in the Nordics.
Slush Small Talks has since the start been about smaller gatherings for startups and tech talent to meet with top-tier international investors, executives and media, who share the passion to further empower the local startup ecosystem. Slush Small Talks in Stockholm is all about bringing the Nordic community together to understand the current state of technology and what is in store in the near future. At the same time, it’s a natural step over the Baltic Sea, to our beloved neighbours.
Breaking Down the Barriers Together
The theme of the Slush Small Talks in Stockholm is focused on stories about successful projects and collaborations between corporations and startups. To ensure more of those success stories, we bring companies from different industries under the same roof. To be exact, under the basement of a brewery in an abandoned bomb shelter at Söder Mälarstrand, Slush Small Talks will take place in the venue Skyddsrummet.
But why such a theme? Today, corporations often struggle to innovate due to many barriers that are entrenched within the company’s operations and structures. The collaboration between corporations, startups and scaling businesses has never been more crucial than it is today. New emerging technologies and growth companies could be the key to sustained corporate success and today, even more, and more corporations are choosing to collaborate with startups because the corporate nature makes internal innovation difficult and no company has all the competencies it needs. And yes, it’s a win-win – corporates seem to be the next boost for the startup ecosystem.
So, What’s Up in Stockholm Then?
As mentioned, Slush Small Talks in Stockholm will focus on corporations and startup collaboration. Together with the local community and the partners of our event; Prince Daniel’s Fellowship, Combient, EQT Ventures, Northzone and PwC we want to showcase solutions and best cases of collaborations and break down possible barriers.
Speaker’s taking the stage will be executives and startup founders, showcasing the best practices about collaboration.
The four key takeaways from the event will highlight:
- Best practices and showcases of corporate and startup collaboration.
- Best practices of CVC’s (Corporate Venture Capital).
- Corporate innovation from a startup perspective.
- How to become a desired partner for a growth company.
The event will culminate in a joint networking event and party til the midnight hours in the heart of Stockholm.
Slush Small Talks in Stockholm is happening in less than three weeks.
